Moodzie like many other people out there happens to love snacks, as Moodzie believes one snack a day is important alongside the regular three meals a day. However, many people assume that snacks must be unhealthy sugary or salty foods, such as chips, cookies, or sodas, Moodzie believes this certainly should not be the case. As, of course on occasion, it is ok to consume some deserts or salty foods, but to do so on a regular basis can be damaging to your health. Studies show, that eating habits end up being developed from a very young age, and once formed it can be very difficult to change, thus Moodzie believes it is very important to form kids eating habits in a healthy way from a very early age. If one gets their kids accustomed to eating sugary or salty processed foods, then it can be difficult for those same kids to eat healthily, and many know that if one consumes junk food or processed products for a long period of time, then it can surely damage one’s long-term health and mental well-being.

Moodzie believes rather than giving kids cookies or chips, snacks such as fruits or vegetables should be given, as maybe at first the kids will not like to eat these snacks, but eventually they will get used to them, and once they get used to eating healthier foods, they will even dislike the taste of unhealthy processed foods. Moodzie believes snacks like apples, bananas, oranges, or some piece of vegetable like steamed broccoli are all great and healthy options, maybe some unsalted nuts are all great and healthy options. Nowadays, various sports drinks or protein shakes all are healthy options that are much better than drinking sodas or sugary juices, mineralized whey shakes or vitamin water are quite popular nowadays, as they are known to rich in micronutrients, low in bad carbs and high in protein. Ideally kids will be able to consume most of their important vitamins and minerals naturally by eating healthily, however ,Moodzie believes a multivitamin or some fish oil tablets, can also be great for making sure that one is getting their daily vitamin and mineral intake. Thus, Moodzie believes eating habits can and should be formed from an early as possible age, and kids should be given healthy and nutritious foods over processed junk food.

What can you give children that are healthier options? How can you present snacks so they are more appealing? Moodzie provides some awesome tips for great healthy snacks!
